"Wand is fat. He hasn't taken his shirt off since we have been here. He thought our fight would be in July, but it got announced for May. He's stressed and trying to get out of it."
Sounds like Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3" coach Wanderlei Silva is in a panic, after learning that his grudge match against Chael Sonnen will now be contested at the upcoming UFC 173 pay-per-view (PPV) event over Memorial Day Weekend, and not July as previously reported (more on that here). That's according to "The American Gangster" (via Fighters Only), who suggests "The Axe Murderer" has been chopping up the buffet on the set of the promotion's combat sports reality show, where he serves as head coach -- opposite Sonnen -- in his native Brazil. Just how fat and stressed out Silva is heading into their rematch showdown remains to be seen, but then again, they say the camera adds 10 pounds. Might be time to invest in that new Fight Pass gig to find out for sure.
