Dana White said that the upcoming light heavyweight clash between bitter rivals Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva -- which goes done on May 31, 2014, at a yet-to-be announced "Fight Night" event in Brazil -- would sell itself with little promotion from his end.
And judging by the first look at the upcoming The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) "Brazil 3" trailer, he was right.
In the brief clip, you can see the bitter feud come to a head as "The Axe Murderer" and "The American Gangster" are engaged in a war of words before Silva swings at Sonnen.
Something I'm sure White hated to see on a "professional" level.
A few weeks back, the Las Vegas fight boss revealed that the two longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veterans were involved in a "huge fight" on set. It's unclear whether this is the actual fight in which Sonnen was blind-sided by one of "Bum-derlei's" Silva's guys with a cheap-shot or another altercation, but it's hard to imagine an encore after this hostile engagement.
Regardless, it seems that the hatred these men have for one another is indeed real as evidenced by the clip. But you'll have to tune in to the upcoming season of the popular reality television show -- which airs only on UFC Fight Pass beginning on March 9, 2014 -- to see how it all unfolds.
