UFC 170 results: Ronda Rousey called her liver shot finish of Sara McMann

She really did, she promises!

Esther Lin/MMA Fighting

Ronda Rousey scored the first technical knockout (TKO) stoppage victory of her career last night (Sat., Feb. 22, 2014) with a liver shot finish of Sara McMann (watch the highlights here) in the main event of UFC 170: "Rousey vs. McMann" at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

And she called that shot too.

That's what she claimed, at least, in her post-fight interview with Fox Sports:

"I promised my coach that I would do it, I really did. I promised that I would drop her with a body shot. I've been working on it so hard for this camp. We knew that she's a wrestler and she was going to be more bent over all the time and, yeah. I don't know what to say. I can't wait to see what people come up with to complain about this time."

If you'll remember, her coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, informed us all just over one week ago that Rousey was dropping her world champion boxer training partners with body shots in the camp leading up to this fight.

It sounded like typical hype then; now, not so much.

What's unfortunate is referee Herb Dean has come under fire for stopping the fight too quickly, though there are some who feel it was justified. Either way, "Rowdy" claims she predicted she would drop McMann with a body shot and that's exactly what she did.

You impressed?
