UFC 170 results: Daniel Cormier knocks out Pat Cummins

Was there ever any doubt?

The real Rocky story reached its conclusion at tonight's (Sat., Feb. 22, 2014) UFC 170: "Rousey vs. McMann" pay-per-view (PPV) event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, as former coffee boy Patrick Cummins got his shot at the big time against Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier.

Rocky lost.

And it didn't take long.

Put simply, this fight was always a waste of time and the hype job for it far exceeded the actual match-up. Cormier was always going to win and once the bout got underway, that fact became impossible to ignore.

Cummins was swinging wild the whole way. Cormier, meanwhile, was showcasing a measured attack, throwing hard strikes that were landing clean and doing big damage.

So, exactly the way everyone knew it would happen.

Back to the coffee house, Pat.
