The Seattle Seahawks absolutely destroyed the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48 tonight (Sun., Feb. 2, 2014) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, winning the NFL Championship game by a final score of 43-8 after four quarters of destruction. The number one defense in the league this season proved significantly better than the number one offense, forcing four turnovers and jumping out to a 36-0 lead before the Broncos could muster enough offense to get on the scoreboard. Demaryius Thomas caught a 14 yard pass from Peyton Manning for Denver's only points of the day while the Seahawks scored on a run (Marshawn Lynch), two passes (Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse), a kickoff return (Percy Harvin), and an interception return (Malcolm Smith, who won MVP for his performance). That's all without mentioning the safety on the first offensive snap of the game. Yes, it was that kind of night. For all the latest news, notes, coverage, and updates on Super Bowl 48 click here.
