Coming in off a "Fight of the Night"-winning loss to former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar, Oliveira got a noted step down in competition in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 veteran Ogle. At 1-2 in UFC, Ogle badly needed a win to stay afloat in the stacked featherweight division.

Unfortunately for him, he was matched up against one of the finest 145-pound submission artists in all of mixed martial arts (MMA). Oliveira used his extensive Brazilian jiu-jitsu talent to put on a show for the fans in Brazil. Let's take a look back at Oliveira's masterful performance from his home country.

Oliveira immediately went for a takedown, switching from a double leg to a bodylock to drag Ogle to the mat. Oliveira got into the mount and missed on an early arm triangle, but "Do Bronx" simply transitioned into a rear naked choke attempt. Oliveira put a ton of pressure on Ogle with a body triangle, repeatedly looking for submissions throughout a dominant opening stanza. Ogle was resilient but didn't mount any offense whatsoever.

In the second round, Oliveira went for an early single leg that was unsuccessful. He got to Ogle's back but was finally met with a reversal from "Little Axe," who landed in the dangerous guard of Oliveira. "Do Bronx" slammed Ogle to the mat once again. He moved into a D'Arce choke that Ogle somehow escaped to push Oliveira up against the cage. Ogle even scored a big slam of his own to rain down with some elbows. Ogle got his back taken to end the round, but overall the second round was a much better showing for him.

Oliveira clinched to start the third. He dropped Ogle with a left hook and went for a rear naked choke on the ground. Ogle reversed and threw a kick to the body. Ogle sought a takedown and got it, but only for a brief moment.

Ogle sprawled a takedown to land on top, but it was all a ruse.

Oliveira locked on a super-tight triangle choke from the bottom that immediately earned the tap from Ogle. It was yet another impressive submission from Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist "Do Bronx," who improved his UFC record to 5-4 with his "Performance of the Night"-winning effort.

That may not sound like all that great of a record, but at only 24 years old, Oliveira has already fought a murderer's row of talent like Frankie Edgar, Cub Swanson, Jim Miller, Donald Cerrone, and Nik Lentz.

The future should be very bright for the talented "Do Bronx," but the UFC shouldn't completely throw him to the wolves quite yet. A bout against someone ranked in the lower levels of the Top 15 would be best for Oliveira; someone like surging Jeremy Stephens would provide a great test for him.

We may have seen the last of Ogle with the loss. He's now 1-3 in UFC and that's not going to cut it in a division as tough as featherweight. If he gets another UFC fight, it's obviously a must-win scenario.

He had his moments against Oliveira but was ultimately outclassed in a big way, losing by submission for only the second time in his career. Ogle is a tough competitor who may benefit from a few confidence-building wins against lesser competition in the regional circuits.

Charles Oliveira rebounded from two tough losses to throttle Andy Ogle on the ground. It is already time for "Do Bronx" to go back to facing top-level talent?
