Upset! Herica Tiburcio submits Michelle Waterson at Invicta 10, claims atomweight title

There's a new atomweight badass in town and her name is Herica Tiburcio. The scrappy 105-pound Brazilian -- just 21 years old -- upset the apple cart on Friday night (Dec. 5, 2014) in the main event of Invicta Fighting Championship (Invicta FC) 10, which took place inside Arena Theater in Houston, Texas.

Tiburcio (9-2) was able to finish former champion Michelle Waterson (12-4) with a fight-ending guillotine choke in the third round of their UFC Fight Pass headliner. Considering it was a fairly close fight through the first 10-plus minutes, don't be surprised to see these two hook 'em up again in the very near future.

Until then, Tiburcio goes home the champion, while the "Karate Hottie" -- who was as high as a -1050 favorite on some of the sportsbooks -- goes home to lick her wounds.
