Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a special fight-week media day on Thursday to kick off the upcoming UFC 181: "Hendricks vs. Lawler 2" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sat., Dec. 6, 2014.

As with every media day extravaganza, the fighters charged with doing work had the opportunity to come face-to-face with one another. That includes UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks and familiar foe Robbie Lawler, who slug it out to settle an old score from UFC 171.

In the UFC 181 co-main event, former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez looks to grab another 155-pound title against fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 coach Anthony Pettis, who returns from a lengthy injury layoff to defend his strap.
