Life after ZUFFA? You betcha.
Former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight veteran Anthony Njokuani was sent packing earlier this week after spending several years inside the Octagon. Unfortunately, "The Assassin" was just 3-5 under the UFC banner and seven of his eight fights went to a decision.
No matter.
Njokuani (16-9, 1 NC) will get a chance to turn things around and work his way back up to the big leagues when he makes his debut for Legacy Fighting Championship (Legacy FC), according to MMA Junkie, at the Legacy FC 38 mixed martial arts (MMA) event scheduled for Feb. 13, 2015 inside Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.
His opponent will be hot-and-cold regional prospect Thomas Gifford (8-6, 1 NC), who made his Legacy FC debut last August with a blistering knockout win over Wade Johnson.
No other fights have been announced for the Legacy FC 38 card at this time, but you can expect that to change sooner, rather than later.
