Room for one more?
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend Don Frye is renting a room in Chris Weidman's keister -- reluctantly -- ahead of the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on Feb. 28, 2014 inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
That's because he's expecting the "All American" to smash division No. 1 contender Vitor Belfort, who returns from his extended layoff (thanks to this) to make one last run at the 185-pound title. But Frye thinks "The Phenom" can make better use of his holiday break.
"The Predator" talks to Submission Radio:
"I think Vitor needs to go back in for another Gynecomastia operation. He got caught once again and things aren't going in his favor, and Chris is here to stay for ... you know he's going to run the gauntlet for about three more years. I think Vitor's like a cat. He's got more than nine lives. Every time you think he's done he comes back. He's just not at the top of his game. He's not who he was back in '96, '97. You know, we all get old and we all lose a step. Unfortunately he's lost several, and you can't afford to lose half a step against someone like Weidman. I hate to crawl up Weidman's butt like everybody else, but the kid's got it going. He's got the wrestling pedigree and he can throw fists. And obviously he's got the toughest shins in the world"
Weidman's shins resulted in Anderson Silva's broken leg (pic).
Originally scheduled to go down at UFC 181 earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada, the bout was scratched after Weidman was forced out of their championship showdown with an injury (details). Now, these two will finally get to duke it out inside the Octagon.
Anyone picking Belfort for the upset?
