World Series of Fighting (WSOF) is closing out the new year -- as well as gearing up for 2015 -- by airing a special 90-minute "Best Of" program titled, "WSOF Unstoppable: Road To The Championship," which airs tomorrow (Sat., Dec. 27, 2014) at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
From WSOF President Ray Sefo:
"We are excited to cap off what was a banner year for World Series of Fighting, and appreciate the opportunity that NBC is giving our fans to re-live some of the most incredible moments we have seen thus far in our cage. WSOF Unstoppable: Road To The Championship will essentially hone in on the journeys and achievements of our reigning world champions who fought their hearts out to become recognized as the top fighters in their respective divisions."
The seven fighters profiled on "Unstoppable" are Marlon Moraes (bantamweight), Lance Palmer (featherweight), Justin Gaethje (lightweight), Rousimar Palhares (welterweight), David Branch (middleweight), Smealinho Rama (heavyweight) and Jessica Aguilar (women's strawweight).
WSOF returns to action on NBC Sports Network on Jan. 17, 2015 featuring a welterweight match up pitting Jake Shields against Brian Foster, with the winner expected to challenge Palhares for the welterweight championship in mid-2015.
