Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a new home in Canada.
The mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion (via MMA Fighting) announced a broadcast deal that will see TSN and RDS networks air its live events which include preliminary bouts, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), and North American UFC "Fight Night" cards for the foreseeable future (see the 2015 schedule here).
While the deal signifies a fresh start with a new network, it also marks the end of its longstanding relationship with Rogers Sportsnet; a company that had previously been the home for all UFC-related content in Canada.
According to the report, coverage will begin on January 3, 2015 with the coverage of upcoming UFC 182: "Jones vs. Cormier" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which goes down from MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
TSN will follow that up by airing UFC Fight Night 59, which goes down on Jan. 18, 2015 from Boston, Mass. and features a featherweight bout pitting Conor McGregor against Dennis Siver.
