Don't worry Michael Bisping, 'hated' Hector Lombard hasn't forgotten about you

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender Hector Lombard is just a few days ahead of his Josh Burkman showdown at the UFC 182 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on Jan. 3, 2015 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hopefully the win can bring "Showeather" good tidings and cheer.

That's because the former Bellator middleweight titleholder is feeling more like the Grinch than Kris Kringle, and is hoping to start fresh in 2015. Following a win over "The People's Warrior," Lombard is targeting a return to Australia and perhaps even a grudge match against Michael Bisping.

From his conversation with MMA Fighting:

"I'm the most hated guy in the UFC. I don't know why. That's the way it's always been. I'm not very happy, but what can I do? Hopefully 2015 brings me a better year and I can be happy again. Hopefully good things are coming my way and I can be positive. I can finally get my hands on Michael Bisping. I don't see why not."

Something about those little girly hands...

After a rough start to his UFC career, Lombard (34-4-1, 1 NC) has since notched two straight victories by dropping to welterweight and is currently ranked No. 6 in the division. Beating up Burkman won't exactly springboard him into the No. 1 contender spot -- currently held hostage by Johny Hendricks and Rory MacDonald -- so he may need to stay busy by looking elsewhere.

Anyone else down for "The Count?"
