Video: Jon Jones willing to mend fences with Daniel Cormier -- right after he beats him at UFC 182

"I think a lot of times when you get a fight that's personal it motivates the athletes. No one wants to lose to someone you don't like. I'm sure when I beat him he won't like me too much. I could see me and Daniel having a respectful relationship after the bout. Our problems...they really aren't that personal. They're actually kind of silly. After you fight a guy you definitely develop a certain amount of respect for him and bond with him. So yeah, I could see us not having problems after this fight."

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones (via FOX Sports) won't rule out a new and improved relationship with division No. 1 contender Daniel Cormier, even after threatening to kill him and turning his staredown with "DC" into a wild brawl. But that's not happening until after he defeats him at the UFC 182 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Jan. 3, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada (results here). Think it can't happen? He was able to rekindle his bromance with Rashad Evans -- kinda-sorta -- earlier this year, so never say never. Then again, "Bones" was the winner in that exchange...
