UFC Fight Night 58 injuries and medical suspensions: CB Dollaway facing six-month sit

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) sent 24 mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters into battle last weekend (Sat., Dec. 20, 2014) inside Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and not a single one of them escaped a post-fight medical suspension.

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) means business.

Chief among them is middleweight contender CB Dollaway, who will have six months to think about what went wrong in his crushing knockout loss to Lyoto Machida in the FOX Sports 1 main event (replay). Joining "The Doberman" in the six-month club is Mike Rhodes, who had a "Biggie" problem against Erick Silva in the first round of their welterweight affair (watch it).

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
