Manager confirms Nate Diaz not released following cryptic tweet about UFC employment

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Not cut, just mad.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Nate Diaz, who was rocked and socked by Rafael dos Anjos earlier this month in Phoenix, Arizona (watch it), has not been released from his ZUFFA contract, despite a recent post on social media that had some of his fans sweating bullets.

When contacted by, manager Mike Kogan confirmed that Diaz was still under contract with the world's largest combat sports promotion; however, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 5 champ was venting some frustration over his fallen brethren.

The ones who play by the rules and still get the boot.

Diaz has a rocky relationship with UFC President Dana White, but is not in danger of losing his job, even with a sub-par record of 1-3 over the last two years.

That said, how many losses will it take before this happens?
