Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) on Thursday released the drug test results for UFC Fight Night 56, which took place inside Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Brazil, back on Nov. 8, 2014.
And no news is good news, especially on the illegal / banned substances front.
Results from the pre- and post-fight drug tests, which include performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) such as steroids and drugs of abuse like cocaine and marijuana, among others, all returned negative for the entire Fight Pass/FOX Sports 1 fight card, according to MMA Fighting.
In addition, main event participants, former light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua and top contender Ovince St. Preux, along with co-headliners Warlley Alves and Alan Jouban, were all subjected to more enhanced blood testing (HGH and EPO), which also came back clean.
UFC Fight Night 56 featured a heartbreaking loss for "Shogun," who was snuffed out by "OSP" in front of a shocked Brazilian crowd. To relive the misery -- or celebrate if you're a St. Preux fan -- revisit our UFC Fight Night 56 results and play-by-play right here.
