Nate Diaz: UFC made me look like an 'a--hole' because I refused to 'talk sh-t'

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Nate Diaz isn't one to bite his tongue when it comes to promoting a fight or giving his opinion on topics that affect his livelihood. Just look at his reaction to the recent Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) deal with Reebok, as well as the signing of CM Punk.

But in the lead up to his bout against Rafael dos Anjos, which went down last weekend (Sat., Dec. 13, 2014) in Phoenix, Arizona, Nate didn't have much to say about his opponent. When he did, it was mostly positive.

So when the UFC-employed producers tried repeatedly to get him to talk "shit" about "RDA," Nate decided to walk out of the pre-fight interview.

The clip of him bailing mid-interview was shown prior to his showdown against Dos Anjos, which according to Diaz, only made look like an "asshole" because it didn't tell the whole story.

His response (via Evan Shoman Twitter):

His storm out only added to what was a very tumultuous week for Diaz who, aside from coming up short against Rafael (highlights), was docked 20-percent of his purse for coming in overweight, and missed open workouts.

He was also was fined $10,000 for undisclosed reasons, according to Dana White.

On the heels of this latest revelation coupled with all the back-and-forth between both parties over the last year, is it high time that they go their separate ways?
