"The Nate Diaz thing is a completely different scenario. The guy is complaining about money, but he's done tons of things to ensure that he gets fined. He is complaining about the CM Punk deal. All he's been doing is complaining, not showing up for stuff, and now he doesn't make weight and he's four pounds over. I don't know what to do with him if he wins. There's a laundry list of problems there."
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White (via FOX Sports) doesn't yet know what to do with lightweight veteran Nate Diaz, who competes against Rafael dos Anjos on the UFC on FOX 13 main card later tonight (Dec. 13, 2014) in Las Vegas, Nevada (results here). Diaz (17-9), who is (begrudgingly) making his return to the Octagon after a year on the sidelines (because of this), blew off the promotion's open workouts earlier this week, then failed to make weight for his 155-pound showdown. That, coupled with the constant bellyaching, leaves White with a fighter who clearly does not want to be a part of the ZUFFA family. But at the same time, the promotion does not want to just send Diaz -- who does have a considerable fan base -- to the competition. What's a promoter to do?
