With every FOX card meaning thousands of new potential viewers and fans, UFC brass continually puts together stacked cards with meaningful and exciting bouts. With potential No. 1 contender fights in both the Heavyweight and Lightweight divisions, what else could you possibly ask for?

What's Hot: There are a ton of intriguing storylines heading into Phoenix this evening. Fight fans will witness the return of the brash Nate Diaz and former UFC Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos. Both men are looking to put their names into the title race, and if they pick up big time victories tonight, they may just earn a chance at UFC gold. As if that was not already enticing enough, UFC threw Alistair Overeem on the card, and if he can not defeat Stefan Struve tonight, he could be fighting for Bellator in 2015.

What's Not: UFC is on fire right now, pushing out excellent events back to back, so there is nothing worth noting on this "What's Not" segment. UFC on FOX 13 is a well-rounded card from the first to the very last fight in Phoenix. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

New Blood:

-- Anthony Birchak (vs. Ian Entwistle): You may remember Birchak's name because he was set to make his Octagon debut at UFC 177 this past August. Unfortunately for the former MFC champion, his opponent was Joe Soto, who stepped up into the main event against the champ TJ Dillashaw at the very last second, leaving Birchak without an opponent for his Octagon debut. The 11-1 Bantamweight will finally get his shot inside the Octagon tonight, as he looks to earn his tenth career finish.

-- Henry Cejudo (vs. Dustin Kimura): Cejudo was another UFC signee set to make his Octagon debut at UFC 177, but after a failed weight cut to 125 pounds, the former Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler was forced to withdraw from the bout at the very last second. Cejudo will get one more chance in UFC, but this time he will be fighting at 135 pounds. Cejudo is undefeated (6-0) in his MMA career, with four (technical) knockouts to his name.

-- Bryan Barberena (vs. Joe Ellenberger): This MMA Lab-trained product is 9-2 in his MMA career, boasting seven (technical) knockouts and one submission victory. Barberena currently holds no notable victories in his MMA career.

-- Willie Gates (vs. John Moraga): This flyweight makes his UFC debut on short notice against a former No. 1 contender. Gates is 11-4 in his career, with four (technical) knockouts and four submission victories to his credit.

Original Card vs Actual Card:

The injury bug really did not do much damage to this card other than breaking up a potential excellent Flyweight fight on the "Prelims."

Former No. 1 contender John Moraga was set to face off against rising contender Jussier Formiga, but a late injury to the Brazilian forced Moraga to accept a bout on short notice against UFC debutant Willie Gates.

How The "Prelims" Look: While a casual fan may not know some of the names on the "Prelims," I suggest taking the time out to watch the scheduled bouts this evening.

A few diamonds in the rough could lead to outstanding fights with the Middleweight scrap between Ed Herman and Derek Brunson, the lightweight bout between Jamie Varner and Drew Dober, the women's Strawweight fight between Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jędrzejczyk, the welterweight scrap between Joe Riggs and Ben Saunders, as well as the debut of Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo.

Who Needs a Win Badly: This portion is reserved for fighters who could be fighting for their jobs tonight, rather than contenders or title challengers needing victory. Let's take a look at those who need to pull it together:

-- Alistair Overeem (vs. Stefan Struve): It is almost unfathomable, but Overeem is likely fighting for his job tonight. The once feared Heavyweight has lost three of his last four, all by way of brutal knockout, and his only win was against a spent Frank Mir via decision.

Overeem is 2-3 in the Octagon, and a loss to the returning Struve tonight could very well spell the unceremonious end to Overeem's UFC career, and potentially his MMA career. If Overeem does not show he can take a punch, it will be hard for UFC to give him another crack.

-- Garett Whiteley (vs. David Michaud): Coming into UFC undefeated, and subsequently losing your first two fights inside the Octagon never bodes well for any fighter. Simply put, if Whiteley can not defeat Michaud tonight, he will more than likely be cut from the organization.

-- Jamie Varner (vs. Drew Dober): The former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) champion returned to the Octagon two years ago, stunning MMA fans around the world with an incredible TKO finish over Edson Barboza. Five fights later, Varner has won only one fight, moving his UFC record in his current stint to 2-4.

To be fair to Varner, his decision loss to Gleison Tibau truly could have gone either way, and his most recent loss to James Krause was due to an early ankle injury. While a loss won't necessarily guarantee the end of Varner's UFC career, it would certainly bode well for the former champ to take home the victory tonight.

-- Drew Dober (vs. Jamie Varner): Dober is not catching any breaks from UFC brass, as he comes into UFC on FOX 13 on a two-fight losing streak to take on the notoriously tough out in Jamie Varner. If Dober can not pull off the upset, it is likely the end of the line for the Omaha native.

Interest Level: 8/10

This is a really solid card overall with a ton of fights that could turn into all-out wars. This event has the feel of "there is something for everyone" to watch.

With knockout artists, submission specialists, marquee UFC debuts and returns, big names, and potential No. 1 contender bouts, UFC on FOX 13 truly has it all.

With the card airing free on FOX, fight fans should be in for treat Saturday night.
