Carla Esparza vs. Rose Namajunas main event headlines TUF 20 finale on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas

FOX Sports

One more win and this prediction comes true.

Now that the twelfth and final episode of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 has wrapped (full recap here), we finally have our main event for the live finale, as Carla Esparza will headline the FOX Sports 1 extravaganza opposite fellow Invicta import Rose Namajunas this Friday night (Dec. 12, 2014) at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Esparza (9-2) entered TUF house as the former Invicta strawweight champion, and put the screws to Angela Hill to earn her place in the quarterfinals. That's where she took a majority decision over Tecia Torres, before Wednesday night's semifinal win over Jessica Penne.

In defeat, Penne moves on to fight Randa Markos.

That's because Namajunas (2-1) was able to finish what she started on episode seven, where she choked out Alex Chambers. It wouldn't be as easy in the quarterfinals against Joanne Calderwood, but "Thug" wound up with the same result, thanks to a second-round submission.

Then came her big win over Markos to set up Friday night's inaugural 115-pound title fight.
