Those WWE guys ... they sure know how to put butts in seats.
But whether or not former professional wrestler CM Punk has the kind of drawing power that Brock Lesnar did, especially considering the lofty numbers the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion put up in his heyday (see them here), remains to be seen.
UFC fan and ex-WWE headliner "Stone Cold" Steve Austin certainly likes his chances (via Cageside Seats):
"I think he rolls with some [MMA] guys and it's a very big passion of his. I wish him all the luck in the world, and I know they'll do a helluva big buyrate... Match him up with someone his skill level ... it's hard to gauge what his skill level is though."
Punk -- real name Phil Brooks -- took the Pepsi Plunge into mixed martial arts (MMA) by recently announcing a multi-fight deal with ZUFFA, one that is expected to put him inside the world-famous Octagon at some point in 2015, at a weight class to be determined.
And one prominent fighter already has an idea of who Punk's first opponent might be.
WHAT?!?
