UFC Fight Night 56: "Shogun vs. St. Preux" from Uberlandia, Brazil has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 22 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.
This time around, Ovince St. Preux and Leandro Silva were awarded "Performance of the Night" bonuses for their knockout and submission victories over Shogun Rua and Charlie Brenneman, respectively.
The "Fight of the Night" award went to the back-and-forth war of attrition that saw Thomas Almeida score a unanimous decision victory over Tim Gorman on the night's preliminary card.
Here are the special UFC Fight Night 56 bonuses:
Performance of the Night -- Ovince St. Preux
Performance of the Night -- Leandro Silva
Fight of the Night -- Thomas Almeida vs. Tim Gorman
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
