Report: Matt Brown vs. Tarec Saffiedine possible for UFC's Jan. 24 event in Sweden

Rebounding welterweight warriors Matt Brown and Tarec Saffiedine are reportedly set to hook 'em up at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event in Sweden, scheduled for Jan. 24, 2015 inside Stockholm's Tele2 Arena, according to Kimura.se.

Brown (19-12) saw his seven-fight win streak come to an end at the hands of division No. 1 contender Robbie Lawler in a five-round bangfest last July on FOX. "The Immortal" didn't slip very far in the official rankings and could be right back in the thick of things with a big win in 2015.

Won't be easy.

Prior to getting floored by Rory MacDonald last month in Halifax, Saffiedine (15-4) was enjoying a run of five consecutive wins dating back to early 2011. "The Sponge" will undoubtedly be looking to redeem himself against one of the sport's more popular attractions.

The upcoming event in Sweden has yet to be officially announced; however, Alexander Gustafsson is expected to headline the card against an opponent to be named, after Rashad Evans was unable to commit to a Jan. return (because of this).
