Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight super-slugger Mark Hunt is one win away from wearing the promotion's interim title, in the UFC 180 five-round pay-per-view (PPV) main event against jiu-jitsu wizard Fabricio Werdum on Nov. 15, 2014, in Mexico City.
So, how will the "Super Samoan" deal with one of the finest ground fighters in all of mixed martial arts (MMA)?
"Well, everyone's a world class ground fighter until they get a punch to the face," Hunt told Submission Radio. "So that's how I deal with all these ground fighters like everyone else. I hit 'em in the head and there goes your fucking black belt. First-round walk away knock out."
Easier said that done.
While Werdum is a proficient Muay Thai striker, his bread and butter is submissions. Not only has "Vai Cavalo" tapped the legendary Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, he's also forced fellow heavyweight titans Fedor Emelianenko and Alistair Overeem to say uncle.
That probably explains this.
