UFC champ Ronda Rousey makes Sports Illustrated 'Twitter 100' list for 2014

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight titleholder Ronda Rousey is the biggest star in mixed martial arts (MMA) -- it's a fact -- to the point where she transcends combat sports. That may explain why "Rowdy" is showing up in places like this.

And this.

Well, we can add another accolade to her growing list of accomplishments, as the Olympic medalist-turned-undefeated butt kicker was recently named to the "Twitter 100" by Sports Illustrated; meaning, if you have to follow 100 people in the world of sports, make sure she is one of them.

The official MMAmania twitter account was conspicuously absent from this year's list, but probably because everyone at SI already knows you follow it. Those of you who don't, I know who you are, and will be waiting for you under your bed later this evening.

Rousey (10-0) will return to the Octagon in the co-main event of the UFC 184 pay-per-view (PPV) on Feb. 28, 2015 inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., where she'll put her 135-pound title on the line against unblemished challenger Cat Zingano.
