Alistair Overeem: Ben Rothwell didn't knock me out and I easily beat him nine out of 10 times

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Alistair Overeem doesn't sound that broken up over his loss to Ben Rothwell, which took place last September on FOX Sports 1. That's because "Demolition Man" simply got caught by a fighter who was fortunate enough to have luck on his side.

In fact, Overeem told Submission Radio he wasn't knocked out and took no damage.

"For me I'd rather prefer to fight soon because I'm still in the rhythm of things, and yeah in the last fight I didn't have any damage. I was not knocked out, and it was like, even though I did lose, and I still believe nine out of 10 times I beat Ben Rothwell. Even though I did lose the fight, I didn't have any damage, so what is the reason to not fight? Considering what I'm doing with my sparring partners, I know how dominant I am, I know what I'm doing to them, I know my cardio was excellent, I was in one of the best shapes ever. That being said, I would love a rematch with Ben. I still believe nine out of ten times I beat him easy. No sweat. You know, getting caught is part of the game. It's the x-factor that exists. I've been fortunate to never really have been caught before like this, and yeah I've had like 75 fights by now. So considering that, bad luck happened. You know, in the sport you need a bit of luck on your side and Ben had it in our last fight. The luck was on his side."

Overeem (37-14, 1 NC) is just 2-3 since joining UFC in late 2011.

But the towering Dutchman hopes to get back into the win column against fellow countryman Stefan Struve at the UFC on FOX 13: "Dos Santos vs. Miocic" mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Sat., Dec. 13, 2014 at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Which fighter will have luck on their side?
