WrestleMania!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will eliminate one light heavyweight from the 205-pound title chase when Phil Davis goes head-to-head with Ryan Bader at the upcoming UFC on FOX 14 event inside the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on Jan. 24, 2015.
UFC announced the pairing on Friday.
Davis (13-2, 1 NC) was perhaps one win away from getting a crack at the division title; however, Anthony Johnson decided to spoil the party by moving up to light heavyweight and knocking him around for three rounds at UFC 172 back in May.
"Mr. Wonderful" was able to rebound in a big way by turning away Glover Teixeira just last month in Brazil.
Bader (18-4) was also on the up-and-up, prior to getting his shit pushed in by the aforementioned Teixeira. Undeterred, "Darth" forced his way back into the mix by stringing together three straight wins, recently out-pointing Ovince St. Preux on FOX Sports 1.
Early predictions?
UFC on FOX 14, which will be headlined by the epic light heavyweight showdown pitting Alexander Gustafsson opposite Anthony Johnson, will also feature Dan Henderson's return to middleweight opposite Gegard Mousasi, with "Prelims" bouts likely to air on UFC Fight Pass and FOX Sports 1.
