Kelvin Gastelum chokes out Jake Ellenberger in the very first round of their welterweight co-main event showcase at UFC 180: "Werdum vs. Hunt" last night (Sat., Nov. 15, 2014) at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. The victory pushes "Mini Cain's" record to 10-0 as a professional, including five wins inside the Octagon. Ellenberger, meanwhile, has dropped three in a row and four of his last six. He could very well find himself staring at a pink slip soon. If so, at the very least he will have helped catapult a potential contender at 170-pounds in Gastelum, who was, at one time, expected to be a stepping stone for Uriah Hall. A lot can change in a year. This win should push him into the top 10 and he may very well find himself opposite a top five fighter like Matt Brown or Tyron Woodley. Sound good to you?
