Video: UFC vet Leonard Garcia retires from MMA after submission loss at LFC 37

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight slugger Leonard Garcia announced his retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA) following a first-round loss to Daniel Pineda last Friday night (Nov. 14, 2014) at Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC) 37 in Allen, Texas. The "Bad Boy" (18-12-1) was cut by ZUFFA in 2013 after five consecutive losses, but appeared to have righted the ship on the regional scene, stringing together three straight wins. Unfortunately, his quest to get back to the Octagon suffered a serious setback in "The Lone Star State" and at age 35, Garcia was not about to start from scratch. Favorite Garcia fight? Mine was probably the Roger Huerta bang-a-thon in 2007. How about you?
