XFC to file suit against WSOF over Kalindra Faria's contract

Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) has just given World Series of Fighting (WSOF) a headache. Will a quick victory by Jessica Aguilar on Nov. 15 be its aspirin?

It seems as though travel issues aren't Kalindra Faria's only problem this week.

Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) announced today that it is suing World Series of Fighting (WSOF) over Faria's contract, stating that she is still obligated to XFC after having fought for the promotion twice in 2014.

XFC President Myron Molotky released the following statement:

"WSOF has made it clear it intends to proceed with Ms. Faria’s bout planned for this weekend. There is no question that XFC has a valid contract with Ms. Faria and that her fighting in a WSOF match this weekend violates XFC’s rights under that contract."

Molotky's press release also indicates his intent to file the lawsuit with the U.S. District Court in Tampa, Florida, so that XFC can "enforce its rights to the fullest extent of the law."

As of this writing, the fight will go on.
