Yes, again.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Melvin Guillard has missed weight for his upcoming lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje, scheduled for the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 15 co-main event on Saturday night (Nov. 15, 2014) in Tampa, Florida.
Guillard also missed weight for his WSOF 11 bout last July, and was forced to cough up 15-percent of his purse to Gesias Cavalcante. Because his bout against Gaethje is for the 155-pound championship, he does not have the extra pound allowance and will have to hit 155 on the button.
His first attempt landed him at 158.8.
"The Young Assassin" has two hours to lose the additional weight; however, he's unlikely to hit that mark and it will be interesting to see how the promotion handles the stipulations for their contest moving forward.
So much for his "A" game.
