Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added the welterweight showdown between Brandon Thatch and Stephen Thompson to its upcoming "Fight Night" mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1 inside the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
Thatch (11-1) hasn't been seen for over a year, taking an extended break to heal up from a litany of injuries. Prior to his hiatus, "Ruckus" compiled an impressive 10-fight winning streak, which includes consecutive finishes over Justin Edwards and Paulo Thiago.
But his opponent knows a thing or two about striking.
Thompson (10-1) -- a former kickboxer -- is 5-1 under the UFC banner with three brutal knockouts. "Wonderboy" has been perfect across his last four contests, which includes a unanimous decision win over former title contender Patrick Cote last September.
Who ya' got?
No main event has been announced for this upcoming card; however, Cole Miller vs. Max Holloway, Zach Makovsky vs. Timothy Elliott, and Ray Borg vs. Chris Kelades have all recently hopped on board (more on that here).
