Guys, this one is hot off the press. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight No. 1 contender, Rory MacDonald, has a NEW nickname!

First he was "The Waterboy," then he was "Ares," now he is ... (wait for it) ... "RED KING."

His friend, lightweight Kajan Johnson, who, like MacDonald, is originally from British Columbia in Western Canada, and traveled to the other end of the country to train in Montreal at the Tristar Gym, gave MacDonald the name. The name Rory is an Anglicized form of an Irish/Gaelic name that means Red King.

Now that he's armed with his new moniker, MacDonald (18-2) will head into battle against the winner of Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler, who throw down at the UFC 181 pay-per-view (PPV) event next month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
