The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 was back on FOX Sports 1 last night (Weds., Nov. 12, 2014) as the elimination fights continued on episode eight with No. 3-ranked Tecia Torres (Team Pettis) taking on No. 8-ranked Bec Rawlings (Team Melendez).
We get started at the TUF house and the "Skrapettes" decide to kick Tecia Torres and Heather Clark out of their room because Bec Rawlings has to fight Torres and the general consensus is that Clark is a mole who will yap about strategies.
At the gym, Coach Melendez calls Rawlings "the terminator" and claims she has the best boxing out of all the contestants. "Rowdy" doesn't like the fact that Torres is underestimating her. We get a weepy segment where Rawlings talks about her past abusive relationship and how she draws inspiration from her two young boys.
Pool party!
The house gets sent to the Green Valley Ranch to wear bikinis and watch UFC on FOX. The Skrapettes left early and the "Chumpettes" stayed behind. Lisa Ellis complains that Angela Magana is acting like a manipulative bully, who has a lot to say considering she was bounced from the competition.
Oh, and Torres refuses to switch rooms.
Time to cut weight and of course everyone is on edge. Magana is being a jerk, Heather is getting hated on and suddenly this season is no longer fun. Typical TUF drama. Rawlings calls the shenanigans "beyond stupid" and you know what, I couldn't agree more.
Both fighters make weight without incident
Elimination fight No. 8 -- Tecia Torres (Team Pettis) vs. Bec Rawlings (Team Melendez):
Round 1: Lengthy feeling out process. Torres with a low kick and Bec backs her up with a combo. Torres tries to open up and fists fly in the center of the cage. Torres gets on her bicycle and gets out of Dodge. Rawlings tries to box her way in but Torres rushes her. These ladies are now throwing heavy leather. Holy shit epic clinch fighting then a break away. Rawlings stalking and Torres with punches in bunches. Bec with a clinch and lands a few bombs. Torres pulls out and works kicks. Less than a minute left and they clinch and go to the cage. Rawlings with dirty boxing and Torres fires back. Egad here come the fireworks as Rawlings punches her way clear across the cage. Just when it looks like she has the upper hand, Torres grabs the clinch and uncorks a few knees to the dome. Close round.
Round 2: Low kick for Torres. Another. Teep kick that looks painful. Rawlings finally unloads and Torres ties her up. Bec with a hip toss and Torres goes for a ride. Rawlings lets her up and walks her down. Torres eating a lot of punches and initiates the clinch. Rawlings has her back against the cage and refuses to go down. Torres lets it go and Rawlings comes out firing. She is the aggressor but Torres can give as good as she can get, even in reverse. Torres with a failed takedown and Rawlings drives her into the cage. Torres reverses and after a mighty struggle gets the takedown. Rawlings butt scoots to the cage and gets to her feet at the bell. Another close one. Will we see a third round?
Nope.
Final result: Torres def. Rawlings via decision
After the fight, the Skrapettes boo the decision, prompting Joanne Calderwood to put them on blast for their unprofessionalism.
