You thought a silly little thing like this was going to keep Chael Sonnen down?
Think again.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title contender and FOX Sports 1 analyst is back on the air, recently putting pen to paper with ESPN as its latest and greatest mixed martial arts (MMA) expert.
Washington Post has the surprising story:
Sonnen will provide studio commentary and on-site analysis for ESPN. Senior coordinating producer Glenn Jacobs tells The Associated Press the network knows about Sonnen's mistakes, but he has paid for them.
No need to be pissed.
After a failed drug test booted Sonnen from the UFC 175 pay-per-view (PPV) back in July, the "American Gangster" was slapped with a two-year suspension by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), which prompted the FOX Network to relieve him of his analyst duties.
Now he's back ... but is he better than ever? We'll find out soon enough.
