Yoshiyuki Yoshida bails on Titan FC 31 main event after opponent Mike Ricci misses weight

Yoshiyuki Yoshida was supposed to fight for the lightweight title in a 155-pound contest opposite Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Mike Ricci in the main event of Titan FC 31, scheduled for later tonight (Fri., Oct. 31, 2014) at 10 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

No longer, according to Sherdog.com (via Front Row Brian).

That's because "Zenko" refused to fight "The Martian" after the Canadian missed weight on Thursday. The bout was changed to a non-title fight and was expected to go on as a 157-pound catchweight affair. I guess after sleeping on it, Yoshida decided, Fuck it, I'm out!

Doesn't happen often in this sport, but sometimes you gotta take a stand.

Taking over the headlining spot will be former UFC and WEC bantamweight Miguel Torres, who battles Desmond "The Predator" Green inside the USF Sundome in Tampa, Florida. The Titan FC 31 preliminary fights kick off at 8 p.m. ET on CBSSports.com.
