ONE FC: 'Dynasty of Champions' gets new date with second Chinese fight card close to being confirmed

ONE FC

ONE FC's remaining 2014 schedule got a slight shake up today (Oct. 27, 2014) as the Beijing card has been pushed back to Dec. 19, while an imminent announcement about another event in China will take the number of cities the promotion has been to this year to nine.

ONE FC: "Dynasty of Warriors" will now be taking place at the Beijing Olympic Gymnasium on Dec. 19 with the two match ups which have already been announced still on the card, meaning that Xi Jian (11-2) meets Yadong Song (4-0-0-1) in 135-pound action and lightweights Adrian Pang (20-8-2) and Vincent Latoel (15-15-2) will also face off.

That means there will be four more cards in the final two months of the year with ONE FC: "Battle of Lions" set for Singapore on Nov. 7, ONE FC: "Warriors Way" taking place in Manila on Dec. 7, and two China cards, one of which has yet to be officially announced.

ONE FC CEO Victor Cui posted the following message on his Facebook account:

"I'm absolutely blown away by the INCREDIBLE response by fans, partners and sponsors in mainland China. We’ve decided to add an additional event in China THIS YEAR to ensure that our fans get what they want, making it a total of 2 events in mainland China in 2014. To accommodate for the additional event, our Beijing event, ONE FC: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS, will be held on 19 December 2014. Thank you for the support everyone, I will announce the other new dates shortly. China, here we come!"

ONE FC has ramped up its schedule recently with seven cards in seven different countries in the last six months including inaugural events in Taipei, Dubai and Phnom Penh with the Taiwan show representing a first foray into Chinese territory.

China is high on Cui's agenda and ONE FC is set to put on 10 events in cities all across the world's most populous country in 2015 with the promotion still pressing ahead with plans to hold a total of 24 cards in cities all across Asia and beyond next year.
