Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) sent 22 mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters into battle last weekend (Sat., Oct. 25, 2014) inside Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and not a single one of them escaped a post-fight medical suspension.

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) don't play.

Chief among them is top light heavyweight contender Phil Davis, who roughed up Glover Teixeira for the better part of three rounds, but may have injured his hand in the process. Joining him in the six-month club is Scott Jorgensen, who suffered a few extra blows to the ribs from Wilson Reis.

Here is the full list of UFC 179 injuries and medical suspensions, courtesy of MMA Fighting:

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
