Glover Teixeira vs. Phil Davis full fight video preview: UFC 179

Glover Teixeira, fresh off his light heavyweight title loss to Jon Jones, will co-main event tonight's (Sat., Oct. 25, 2014) UFC 179: "Aldo vs. Mendes 2" pay-per-view (PPV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, against Phil Davis, himself coming off a decisive defeat to Anthony Johnson. Who gets back on the hog?

Teixeira:

"Phil Davis has very good cardio. If I let this fight go to decision, I guess that's his strongest point. He's like outpoint guys over here, you know, takedowns, working punches over there. I can't let that happen. I want to knock this guy out, I want to finish him. I'm going to push the KO in this fight and I think I have a nice advantage of my feet."

Davis:

"You definitely want to look to fight guys who are higher ranked than you. He's ranked number four, I'm ranked number six. That's fine. Let's do it. I know I can beat anyone if I'm healthy, if I'm trained right, and if I employ the right game plan. I think he has a great skill set and he's been very successful with it. But I think we match up well. It all depends on who will be able to literally and figuratively get to the punch first."

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 179 fight card on fight night, starting with the Fight Pass "Prelims" matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, and then the remaining under card balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET before the PPV start time at 10 p.m. ET.

See you then!
