In case you were wondering why Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight contender Conor McGregor was cruising around Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, inside a bulletproof limousine, check out the video of his UFC 179 Q&A from Friday's (Oct. 24, 2014) weigh in event.
FOX Sports adds some perspective:
With the fans taunting and launching all sorts of obscenities his way in Portuguese throughout his entire time talking, McGregor did manage to fire back one message everybody familiar with the UFC events in Brazil would understand.
"Jose Aldo -- u vai morrer!" McGregor shouted.
Translation -- Jose Aldo, you're going to die.
I think those qualify as fighting words.
But a fight that seemed like destiny is now more like fantasy. Aldo first has to get past Chad Mendes at UFC 179 (find out if he does right here) while McGregor heads to Boston next January to face German kickboxer Dennis Siver in the main event of UFC Fight Night 59.
If and when these two do ever hook 'em up, should it be in Ireland ... or Brazil?
