Chad Mendes is five days away from the biggest fight of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, a rematch against Featherweight champion Jose Aldo in the main event of UFC 179.
But, all anyone can talk about, still, is outspoken Irishman, Conor McGregor. And that's just "disrespectful!"
Nonetheless, despite his "bad haircut" and "goofy ass suits," McGregor -- fresh off a first round technical knockout of Dustin Poirier last month at UFC 178 -- is the center of attention in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, scene of this weekend's (Sat., Oct. 25, 2014) pay-per-view (PPV) event.
Indeed, "Notorious" will host the hour-long weigh-in Q&A the day before the event and then sit ringside as a special guest of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White (read details here), who feels McGregor is most likely next in line for a 145-pound title shot.
And if it happens to be a "Money" showdown, Mendes is confident that McGregor will be unable to walk the walk.
"Conor, do you know what wrestling is?," Mendes asked in the BT Sport interview above, which took place earlier this afternoon. "I can rest my balls on your forehead," McGregor responded.
Yep, the trash talk has already begun ... before anything has even started. Dollar signs, indeed.
