Can't we give it one more try?
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight kingpin Brock Lesnar is busy doing his thing over in WWE, but for some reason, keeps getting called out by mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters (like this guy) who've already defeated him.
Add Frank Mir's name to that list.
"I think that [Lesnar's] come back would be good for MMA," Mir told Combate (via Bloody Elbow). "He's still popular, people know who he is and he brings attention. We are tied with one win each. I would enjoy a rubber match. I would like to welcome him back to the UFC."
Lesnar's WWE contract expires next spring and there has been some loose chatter about a potential UFC return.
Mir (16-9) submitted Lesnar (5-3) in his UFC debut way back in 2008, after a questionable stand-up by referee Steve Mazzagatti broke up what looked to be the beginning of the end for the jiu-jitsu ace. They rematched at UFC 100 in the highest grossing UFC pay-per-view (PPV) of all time, where Lesnar won by way of attempted murder.
So ... who's up for a rubber match?
