Bellator 129: Virgil Zwicker vs. Houston Alexander booked for Oct. 17 with James Thompson hurt

James Thompson suffered an undisclosed injury and was forced to withdraw from his upcoming fight against Houston Alexander at the Bellator 129 mixed martial arts (MMA) event from Iowa's Mid-America Center on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 on Spike TV.

As a result, Alexander (16-10, 2 NC) will now slug it out against dangerous Strikeforce import Virgil Zwicker (12-4) at a catchweight of 215 pounds in the co-main event slot of the cable-televised fight card.
