UFC castoff Josh Grispi indicted on multiple charges including assault, animal cruelty, and witness intimidation

Gary A. Vasquez-US PRESSWIRE

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) featherweight Josh Grispi was indicted in Plymouth County, Mass., on Thursday (Oct. 9, 2014) on multiple charges stemming from what police described as "the worst case of domestic abuse they've ever seen."

Boston Globe has the deets:

The charges include animal cruelty and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - a dog - on various days from July 1 to July 31. The charges also include six counts of witness intimidation, from Aug. 8 to 18. During that same period, he allegedly also committed two counts of tampering with a record for use in an official proceeding, and one count of attempting to procure another to commit perjury.

But don't let that take away from the fact that he is a "great father!"

Grispi -- being held on $200,000 cash bail -- allegedly trained his pitbull to maul his wife Kaitlyn on command, and first responders discovered a cache of drugs and weapons on "The Fluke's" property. The dog was turned over to animal control and his three children were placed in the custody of his wife's parents.

Kaitlyn is hoping for an eventual reconciliation, despite the text messages he sent her promising a slow and painful death. Maybe he took lessons from War Machine?

Grispi is expected to appear before the judge later this month.
