I guess his hands aren't the only thing made of stone.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight contender John Lineker missed weight today at the UFC 169 weigh in event (full video replay here), where he came in -- behind the towel on his first attempt -- at 127 pounds, one pound above the allowable limit.
He has one hour to shed the excess weight.
Lineker's infraction marks the third straight time he's missed weight under the ZUFFA banner and the fourth time in six fights. The events in question are UFC on FOX 3 against Louis Gaudinot (loss), UFC 163 against Jose Maria Tome (win) and UFC Fight Night 30 against Phil Harris (win).
The Brazilian had previously competed at bantamweight prior to joining the ranks of UFC and clearly has trouble making the limit, which means we could be seeing the last of him in this division, and perhaps the UFC, depending on his ability to hit his mark.
Anthony Johnson was bounced from the promotion back in 2012 for a similar offense.
His fight against Ali Bagautinov will go on as scheduled as "Puncher King" hit his mark at 126 pounds. See the entire UFC 169 weigh in results and video for "Barao vs. Faber 2" by clicking here.
***UPDATE: Lineker has made weight on his second attempt, coming in at 126 pounds and avoiding a financial penalty.
