UFC Quick Quote: John Lineker should have been cut for missing weight three times

Three strikes and you're out, according to "Mighty Mouse."

"As far as him not making weight three times, he's still in the UFC, so there's nothing I can do about it. If it was me, I would have cut him, but that's just me. Part of the job when you sign a contract says you've got to make 125. Not 128, not 130."

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight kingpin Demetrious Johnson is not as forgiving as his employer, and would have shit-canned John Lineker for his inability to make the 125-pound limit on three separate occasions, according to comments he made during his recent "Fight Club" Q&A (watch it). Despite stumbling in his Octagon debut, "Hands of Stone" went on to win four straight fights and positioned himself for a run at the title, depending on how well he performs against Ali Bagautinov at UFC 169 next weekend (Feb. 1) in New Jersey (details). Assuming, of course, he can make weight the day before. If he can't, it may not matter what "Mighty Mouse" thinks, as John will surely end up on the unemployment Line-ker.
