These things start innocently enough.
Undefeated light heavyweight mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and decorated GLORY kickboxer Tyrone Spong recently re-upped with World Series of Fighting (WSOF), and felt inclined to share the good news with former UFC champ and current Bellator attraction Quinton Jackson.
As expected, "Rampage" was unimpressed.
That's when their friendly Twitter dialog quickly escalated (surprise) and led to the usual posturing between two guys who happen to beat people up for a living.
@Rampage4real I didn't disrespect you in anyway, it's what the fans want, but u cuss me again I will sort it out!

Why are two fighters from different promotions even bothering to talk smack in the first place?
Probably because WSOF president Ali Abdel-Aziz laid down the gauntlet earlier this month and challenged Bellator MMA to a "winner take all" pay-per-view (PPV) event (details), where the best fighters from each promotion would go head-to-head to find out who the best in the world really is.
Outside UFC, or course.
It's not happening, but it hasn't stopped Spong and Jackson from getting round one underway via social media. Judging by what you've seen on Twitter, who takes the opening frame?
And more importantly, who wins in real life?
