UFC Fight Night 28: "Teixeira vs. Bader" from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
To the tune of $50,000 each.
The promotion dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 22 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.
It shouldn't be a surprise, really, but event headliner Glover Teixeira brought home his bacon thanks to some hard counter shots that put Ryan Bader down for the count, earning him "Knockout of the Night" honors.
In what was a surprise, Piotr Hallmann survived early trouble and came back to tap Francisco Trinaldo with a nasty kimura that was well worth the extra $50K check he'll be cashing for "Submission of the Night."
Finally, Rafael Natal vs. Tor Troeng took "Fight of the Night" honors for their war of attrition that the former mostly dominated but saw Troeng impress simply by his will to not get finished despite nearly getting stopped at multiple times throughout the 15-minute affair.
Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC Fight Night 28:
Knockout of the Night -- Glover Teixeira
Submission of the Night -- Piotr Hallmann
Fight of the Night -- Rafael Natal vs. Tor Troeng
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
