Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Fox Sports 1 tonight (September 4, 2013) live from the Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horitzonte, Brazil with UFC Fight Night 28: "Bader vs Teixeira". This is the UFC's third event in eight days, and their first of September.
Headlined by a light heavyweight bout with title implications between Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira. It's assumed that with a win, Teixeira will face the winner of Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson for the UFC light heavyweight belt.
The co-main event features Yushin Okami welcoming Ronaldo Souza to the UFC. Souza is the ex-Strikeforce Middleweight champion and one of the top grapplers in the world. Okami is working his way back into the middleweight title picture.
The main card goes live on Fox Sports 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET but follow MMA Mania for undercard coverage with fights kicking off on Facebook at 4:30 p.m. ET before the preliminary fights on Fox Sports 1 begin at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Yuri Villefort vs Sean Spencer
Foreigners now 42-13 against Brazilians in Brazil. The comeback begins...
— Dann Stupp (@MMAjunkieDann) September 4, 2013
Sean Spencer wins the split decision, thank fucking heavens. Brazuca Journo Top Team, please uncover and shame the 29-28 Villefort judge.
— Jordan Breen (@jordanbreen) September 4, 2013
I would've bet on Yuri Villefort being the Mauricio Shogun of the Villefort family, but it turns out he's actually the Marcos Shaolin.

Keith Wisniewski vs Ivan Jorge
TWO MORE ROUNDS, TWO MORE ROUNDS, TWO MORE ROUNDS HAHAHAHA LOLOLOL. Guys, I'm crazy this evening, afternoon or whatever thing.
— Jordan Breen (@jordanbreen) September 4, 2013
That was a tough fight to watch. Not much to say about it other than the real Batman wouldn't get that gassed in a fight. #UFC
— Erik Fontanez (@Erik_Fontanez) September 4, 2013
Great shot of both fighters hanging on the cage. Summed up that fight perfectly.
— Greg Savage (@TheSavageTruth) September 4, 2013
I’m supposed to eat dinner and watch the fights with @dannyrube. But that will only happen if I don’t kill myself during this fight.
— Jeremy Botter (@jeremybotter) September 4, 2013
This fight has me ready for an afternoon nap.

Joao Zeferino vs Elias Silverio
It's really, really cold in here. Maybe these guys are just clinching to stay warm?
— John Morgan (@MMAjunkieJohn) September 4, 2013
This ref wants to stop this because he's bored and this is awful.
— pdl (@pdlmma) September 4, 2013
This would be way more interesting if they had all the undercard fights go on at once, in the same cage.
— Dave Doyle (@davedoylemma) September 4, 2013
Oh, he can illegally kick him because he's frustrated? Let's hope that rule doesn't apply to people watching the fight.
— Dann Stupp (@MMAjunkieDann) September 4, 2013
Palelei and Krylov have gotta be thinking "and our fight was bad?" #UFCFightNight28

Lucas Martins vs Ramiro Hernandez
Lucas Martins' usual Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots routine knocks Ramiro Hernandez silly, then he hits a Brutus Beefcake standing sleeper set up.
— Jordan Breen (@jordanbreen) September 4, 2013
Thank you thank you thank you Lucas Martins
— Dave Doyle (@davedoylemma) September 4, 2013
I have some hope for Lucas Martins to bring me my daily dose of maiming.
— Luke Thomas (@SBNLukeThomas) September 4, 2013
Great finish there by Lucas Martins. Very good right hand and then he put him to sleep with the choke

Felipe Arantes vs Edmilson Souza
Jungle Fight champions went 3-0 tonight with Kevin Souza, Elias Silverio and Ivan Jorge. How about that?
— Guilherme Cruz (@guicruzzz) September 4, 2013
I like the way this Kevin Souza guy fights @kennyflorian
— Cub Swanson (@CubSwanson) September 4, 2013
Nice rhythm, head movement & footwork. Was it enough? "@CubSwanson: I like the way this Kevin Souza guy fights @kennyflorian"
— Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian) September 4, 2013
No argument from me. I thought Arantes won rounds one and three, but they were close. #UFC
